We would like you to tell your story in a brief narrative, starting with an introduction about who you are, your interests, and anything else you feel we should know about you. Now, for the actual task, please read the instructions below.
Write an algorithm in a programming language of your choosing (preferably C++, C#, Java, Objective-C or Swift) which determines the degree of similarity between two given images. We also require a detailed documentation which clearly explains every step of the algorithm. If a multi-thread approach is used then we also require an analysis of the running time of the algorithm on different system configurations (for example: 1-core processor, 2-core processor, 4-core processor). Graphic and creative presentations are welcome.
The student that comes up with the optimal algorithm for detecting the similarity of two images and also provides us with a thorough documentation and running time analysis of that algorithm will be chosen as the winner of the scholarship.
