Several new mice and keyboards geared for use with Apple’s Macs were revealed by Logitech today. One of these was Logitech’s initial mechanical keyboard designed specifically for the Mac.
You can get the MX Mechanical Mini for your Mac in either Space Gray or Pale Gray, and it has low-profile tactile switches and illumination powered by a proximity sensor.
The MX Master 3S is a high-performance optical mouse with a MagSpeed Electromagnetic scroll wheel capable of 1,000 lps and a DPI that can be adjusted from 1,000 to 8,000 for pinpoint accuracy on ultra-high resolution screens. The mouse comes in either Space Gray or Pale Gray, and it features Logitech’s exclusive Quiet Clicks technology and can connect to up to three devices at once, as can all of the company’s recent releases.
In addition to the new blueberry coloring for their round keycap K380 keyboard, Logitech is also unveiling a new vertical ‘Lift’ mouse.
The ergonomic Lift for Mac Mouse is designed to put your hand at a 57-degree angle, which is the same as a natural handshake. According to Logitech, this layout maintains the arm and upper body in a more usual position, which reduces stress on the wrists throughout the day. The mouse works best for those with average-sized hands.
These improvements make its hardware more consistent with Macs and other Apple products, which is a big plus. The dark-coated versions of Apple’s input devices are priced higher than the standard models, so it’s encouraging to see that Apple is keeping its prices the same despite the redesign.
Assuming you don’t currently have any MX series accessories, these are the best bets if you’re looking to upgrade.
The latest offerings from Logitech can be purchased directly from the company’s official website. The MX Mechanical Mini for Mac can be purchased for a price of $150, the K380 in Blueberry can be purchased for a price of $40, the MX Master 3S for Mac can be purchased for a price of $100, and the Lift for Mac can be purchased for a price of $70.
